Murphy scored 42 points, accounting for a significant portion of New Orleans’ offense. Despite his effort, the Pelicans were unable to keep pace late in the game. The Lakers closed the fourth quarter with a decisive run, limiting New Orleans to 17 points in the final period.
For Los Angeles, Luka Dončić and LeBron James each scored 30 points, combining for 60 points and leading the team in key moments on both ends of the floor. Their offensive balance proved decisive in the closing minutes.
Memphis Survives Late Push from San Antonio
The Memphis Grizzlies secured a 106–105 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in one of the tightest finishes of the night.
Memphis recovered from an early deficit and managed to hold on in the final possessions. Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 30 points off the bench, but the Spurs were unable to convert in the final moments.
The Grizzlies relied on a collective effort, with multiple players contributing on both offense and defense to protect the one-point lead.
Minnesota Cruises Past Miami
The Minnesota Timberwolves recorded a comfortable 122–94 home win against the Miami Heat.
Minnesota took control after halftime and steadily increased the margin, outscoring Miami in each of the final two quarters. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 26 points, while Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Miami struggled to maintain offensive consistency, despite solid bench production from Tyler Herro.
Cleveland Finishes Strong Against Indiana
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Indiana Pacers 120–116, pulling away in the fourth quarter.
Darius Garland led Cleveland with 29 points and 6 assists, while Evan Mobley added 20 points. Indiana remained competitive throughout the game, but Cleveland’s execution down the stretch proved decisive.
Washington Defeats Orlando at Home
The Washington Wizards earned a 120–112 victory over the Orlando Magic.
CJ McCollum led Washington with 27 points, while Alexandre Sarr contributed 23 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Orlando received balanced scoring from several players but was unable to keep up with Washington’s offensive efficiency in the second and third quarters.
Dallas Edges Sacramento in Close Road Win
The Dallas Mavericks narrowly defeated the Sacramento Kings 100–98.
Cooper Flagg led Dallas with 20 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, while Anthony Davis added 19 points and 16 rebounds. Sacramento had opportunities late in the game but could not convert enough possessions to change the outcome.
